Based on the young adult novel by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games tells the story of a brutal event staged by the evil Capitol of Panem in which each district sends a teenage boy and girl to compete in the televised ritual called the Hunger Games. They "contestants" must fight with one another until one survivor remains.
Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel The Hunger Games, the first in a trilogy, has developed a huge global following. It has spent more than three years on The New York Times bestseller list since its publication in 2008.
