
The Southeast Iowa Sierra Club and Lonnie Gamble invite you to A Walk Through Earth’s 4.6 Billion Year History on Sunday, April 27, 1-4 p.m. at Jefferson County Park. Meet at the main parking lot.
Experience the wonder of all of life’s interconnection, with each step representing 500,000 years of earth’s history. Led by Lonnie Gamble, a graduate of the Deep Time Walk leaders program, this transformative experience will help participants reimagine their relationship with the living earth. By walking 4.6 kilometers to represent 4.6 billion years, participants will explore the key events that shaped the planet, from its fiery beginnings to the emergence of life and the recent appearance of humans.
All ages are welcome to be part of this intercultural storytelling hike. Rain date is May 4.
