More fun than a bucket of grubs, the musical comedy Guys on Ice promises to warm your heart with a charming slice of Midwest life. Presented by Iowa City Community Theatre, Guys on Ice opens February 28 inside the Park Lodge at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area.
Long-time buddies Lloyd and Marvin spend the day in their cozy ice fishing shanty, passing the time by sharing wit, wisdom, and riotous tunes about life and friendship. Expect hilarious songs like “The Wishing Hole,” “Ode to a Snowmobile Suit,” “Fish is the Miracle Food,” and “The One That Got Away.” Guys on Ice has been performed all across the country to sell-out crowds.
Performances will be held February 28, March 1, 7, and 8 at 7:30 p.m. and March 2 & 9 at 2 p.m.
