Free Outdoor Summer Concert Series Kicks off on June 27 at the FACC

Fairfield Arts & Convention Center is thrilled to present its 4th annual Free Outdoor Summer Concert Series, showcasing the diverse talent of Iowa-based bands. This exciting series promises to bring the community together for four unforgettable evenings of music, food, and fun.

The concerts will take place on the street in front of Fairfield Arts & Convention Center on alternating Thursdays, starting at 7 p.m. Mark your calendars for these dates:

On June 27, kicking off the series with a bang, The Riverdogs, Fairfield’s very own powerhouse blues band, cemented by the dynamic duo of singer Bonnie VanBuskirk and guitarist Randy Walker, will set the stage on fire with their electrifying vocals and soulful melodies.

Next up, on July 11, prepare to be transported to the heart of classic country as Royce Johns takes the spotlight. With a voice that resonates with authenticity and passion, this Des Moines-based artist is sure to captivate audiences.

On July 25, get ready to groove to the smooth and sunny tunes of Jenny Sammons, a Fairfield gem known for her soulful performances that warm the heart and lift the spirit.

Thursday, August 8, closes out the series with a special treat. Fairfield Arts & Convention Center is proud to present Winterland, featuring the music of The Grateful Dead. Presented in partnership with KMCD’s Live on the Square, this Iowa City-based band will take concertgoers on a nostalgic journey rife with timeless tunes and infectious energy.

“The free summer concert series is a celebration of Iowa’s vibrant music scene and the rich cultural tapestry of our state,” said Lindsay Bauer, Executive Director of Fairfield Arts & Convention Center. “We are excited to welcome everyone to join us for four magical evenings of great music in good company.”

Bring your own chair, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself on your feet, dancing. Admission to all concerts is free of charge, thanks to generous support from sponsors and community partners.
