The MIU Regenerative Organic Agriculture Program Farm, a.k.a. the ROAP Farm, invites you to celebrate their Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 30, at 1917 N. Highway 1, just north of the MIU campus. Bring your family and friends to enjoy live music and dinner, and get a taste of the farm’s freshest harvest. Take a tour and learn about their market garden techniques for abundance, or enjoy fun games and activities. Entertainment will begin at 3 p.m. and continue through the evening, culminating with a bonfire.
The Regenerative Organic Agriculture Program is one of the few of its kind in the country. Not only is it an educational facility for farming practices of the future, but it also serves Fairfield as a staple of the Farmers Market, a supplier of many local restaurants, a 50-person CSA share filled with the week’s harvest, and a consistent supporter of the Lord’s Cupboard and Golden Magnolia’s Stone Soup Kitchen.
Fairfield’s rich history of commitment to environmental stewardship serves as an inspiring example of how sustainability can be achieved on all fronts. The ROAP Farm is honored to be a shining example and to share their success with everyone.
This is a pay-as-you-may event, and all are welcome. Please visit the ROAP Farm Harvest Festival event on Facebook to RSVP and for more details.
