American Movie documents an aspiring filmmaker’s attempts to finance his dream project.
The International Documentary Film Festival is coming up! This free festival, organized by University of Iowa students, will be held at FilmScene in Iowa City, April 17 through 19. The festival features short documentaries created by Iowa-based and international filmmakers.
The 2014 festival will include five competition screenings of short non-fiction cinema, an awards ceremony, a Q&A with John Gianvito, an encore screening of Eric Fleischauer’s and Jason Lazarus’ twohundredfiftysixcolors (the universe’s very first GIF compilation film), American Movie, Bill Morrison’s The Great Flood, and 12 O’clock Boys.
FilmScene is located at 108 E. College Street in Iowa City.
